South Goshen worked with the Goshen County Weed & Pest on maintaining a working relationship with control of Leafy Spurge, salt cedar, bind weed and other noxious weeds within SGCD

 

South Goshen assisted the Goshen County Weed & Pest with educational information on their Mosquito program within the county by word of mouth.

 

SGCD continues to be a partner in the CRM on the Springer Wildlife Habitat Area I, II & III.

 

Worked with the Goshen County Weed & Pest and the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) on the removal of Salt Cedar and Russian Olive along Riparian areas within our District.

South Goshen Conservation District

Submitted comments to WACD, WDA and other agencies dealing with integrated pest issues that affect landowners within our district as well as county and state wide.

 

In the subdivision reviews with the County the SGCD board made sure that weed control and other pest management issues were addressed and landowners were directed to the Weed & Pest for assistance.

 

Co-sponsor of the Prairie Dog Management CRM within SGCD in conjunction with the Goshen County Weed & Pest and local landowners. There are approximately 193 Landowners assisted to date covering around 32,251 acres in the management area.
