It is time to start thinking about ordering seedling trees for windbreak protection. Orders for the seedling tree program will begin at the end of October. Watch our website (goshencountyconservationdistricts.com) for more information.

Cassie Hurley, Goshen County Conservation Districts’ newest tree technician, joined the team on July 18. Cassie grew up on a ranch in South Dakota where, as a youth, she participated in 4-H and belonged to Future Farmers of America. 

She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management with a minor in Environment and Natural Resources.

Before taking the position with the District, she worked as a sales manager of a feed supply store and traveled a four state area managing a sales route.
