NPVCD published their yearly annual report and plan. These documents were sent to WACD, WDA, NRCS, Extension Service, State & County officials and other Conservation Districts statewide.
Presented a slide presentation on the benefits of trees and windbreaks around homes, barns and roads on energy savings at the Ag Expo in September in conjunction with the Goshen County Cattlewomen organization.
Hosted USDA Local Work Group Meeting to prioritize EQIP applications. Others involved with work group are FSA County Committee & Director, Goshen County Extension Service, Goshen County Commissioners, Goshen County Weed & Pest LFLCD, SGCD and NRCS.
Sent district board meeting minutes to WACD, WDA and Area II Directors a monthly basis.
Reviewed the MOU between NRCS and NPVCD. Also reviewed agreements between the districts dealing with payment of their share of district personnel professional services. Renewed with NRCS the contribution agreement for ½ of the wages of District Secretary.
Other agencies such as Weed & Pest, Local Legislators and the City of Torrington ware invited to district banquets, water monitoring day and meetings to educate or work on specific projects and upcoming legislative issues.
Sponsored tours and workshops to educate landowners of programs and their responsibilities.
