BOARD DUTIES

LFLCD on a yearly basis reviews the Memorandum of Understanding with NRCS, WDA and other agencies.

LFLCD sponsors their district employees and supervisors to trainings that will help them perform their duties as employees and supervisors.

LFLCD has a rep that sits in on the annual employees review that is conducted by the Employer District, NPVCD.

LFLCD pays NACD, WACD, RC&D and Western Coalition dues on a yearly basis

LFLCD has submitted comments to the County Commissions on sub-division reviews within their district.

Attend all board meeting and be up to date on all issues that are facing the Conservation Districts and make decisions that best benefit landowners within LFLCD.

Work closely with our district partners (NRCS, Game & Fish, US Fish & Wildlife, Goshen Count Weed & Pest, Goshen County Commissioners etc.) on conservation issues that affect the LFLCD.

LFLCD supervisors attend all Area, State and some National meetings. They also assist with sponsoring their employees to these meetings.

LFLCD participates in the WACD awards program on a yearly basis. They also submit awards through other organizations too.

LFLCD is a rep for the local work group that assists NRCS in ranking NRCS programs.

The LFLCD Chairperson has been involved with the BLM Casper Management Plan during this past year.

Published a district newsletter with other 2 districts and NRCS.

Assists with educational programs such as water monitoring and Ag Expo.

Encourage the youth to attend Conservation Camps and be involved with conservation issues & programs.

Submit minutes to WACD, WDA and Area II Directors on a monthly basis.

Assist the District Manager in the development of the Annual Plan of Work and Annual Report and 5 year Long Range Plan.
