Water Quality Program

Water Quality

Lingle-Ft. Laramie Conservation District regrets that is was unable to schedule a water monitoring day this year.

Last year eighth graders from LFL participated in the world wide water monitoring day on Tuesday, September 29th. They tested the North Platte south of Lingle, it was a clear, sunny, and 50 degree morning as well. There were twenty-three kids and two teachers in attendance. LFL supervisors Donna Phipps, Don McDowell, and Jack Pugsley helped that morning.

The parameters that were monitored were PH,

dissolved oxygen, turbidity and water temperature. The information that was gathered was put into a computer program and the data was published on the website: www.nationalwatermonitroingday.org. All who participated had a lot of fun.
