GOVERNANCE and FUNDING Conservation Districts in Wyoming are governed under the Wyoming State Constitution, Title 11, Chapter 16. Goshen County has three conservation districts within its boundaries; North Platte Valley, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, and South Goshen. Each district is lead by a five-member board elected to four-year terms by general election. Supervisors volunteer their time to the Board. Funding for the Districts’ comes mostly from grant funds and a local mill levy tax. Additional funds are acquired through the Districts’ seedling tree program. |

THANK YOU TO THE COMMUNITY The three Goshen County Conservation Districts would like to publicly thank those who contributed funds towards our Rural and Urban Household Pesticide Waste and Electronic Waste Collection on the 24th of September held at the Goshen County Weed & Pest shop. Those who contributed funds were Paul Schoolcraft, Robert and Beth Melonuk, Harold and Deborah McVay of Fort Laramie, the town of Lingle, the Goshen County Commissioners and the Goshen County Weed Pest District. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who assisted with the event in donating their time to unload vehicles and kept things running smoothly as well as the city of Torrington who provided the roll off box for trash that accumulated during the event. Our event was very successful due to all the support from our community. We were also successful in obtaining grant funds from Wyoming Department of Ag and the Southeastern Wyoming RC&D Council. Thanks for making our collection event a success.
